WWV transmits a time code as bass tones (100Hz??), one per
second, short or long. You won't hear them on those toy radios,
but they're there. A Real Radio(Tm) driving a Klipschorn should
do nicely.
Then there's WWVB on 60 kHz that also transmits time code as
pulses at 1 bit per second. When I was active in RTTY I wrote a
WWVH decoder as a M6800 routine that was called 100/second.
